How Scoring Works
Accuracy is most important, then timing.
There is competitive tension created by wanting to get an answer correct, yet being awarded a higher score for answering quickly.
Here is the exact scoring formula:
Each question is worth 20,000 points. In theory, anyway. If you get it wrong you get zero points.
Every millisecond that goes by, the score for that question goes down by 1 pt. (A millisecond is 1/1000th of a second.) So, if you get a question right, but it takes you 7 seconds (7,000 milliseconds), you will get 13,000 points.
One caveat: Even if you take over 20 seconds, if you get the answer right, I still throw you 1,000 points. Why? Because I have a heart!
It's a cold one, but it's there.
Now you know how it works. Speed demon or careful strategist — what's your play?
Good luck, friend! Peace! ✌️
